The newspaper featured in the link says that a despatch for Mr and Mrs Torr was sent to Littlehampton.
Added: it seems some of the Torr party were on a visit to Littlehampton.
I don't think my search below is relevant, to George Torr of Deptford and Garbrand Hall, as those at Littlehampton at the time of the tragedy were on a visit to Littlehampton it seems.
