A former 'not very local' chipping in here. Following on from the above comments, 3 Central Buildings is currently '169 Newsagents' on Conway Road according to Streetview. Despite being bypassed by the A55, it is still on a fairly busy main road. I can't see any reason for it to have ever been connected to Hotpoint so I think we have a case of chinese whispers here which started out as 'near' Hotpoint. (Nearer than the Hotpoint Social Club which was just off the main road further along on the same side as Central Buildings) Half the residents of the junction worked at Hotpoint at one time or another. Perhaps the shop owner at one time worked there as well?
