Free Frank 2
« on: Saturday 21 June 25 03:06 BST (UK) »
I like to thank everyone for the help on the first 3 Free Franks I posted.   I have two more I can't figure out.  I'm trying to figure out who sent the letter, the signer in the lower left corner.   The first is from 1834 and think the second letter is 1837.   Most likely both senders were MPs at the time

Yes! it's Andrew Lawson, a British Conservative politician active around that time.

Andrew Lawson (died 1847) stood unsuccessfully for Knaresborough in the 1832 general election.

He was then elected as Conservative MP for Knaresborough at the 1835 general election, serving until he lost his seat in 1837. He regained it in 1841, holding it until his defeat in 1847

THANK YOU!
