Hi, currently can only search to 1950. I wondered whether there were any church records after this time

NZ Papers Past has newspapers online up to 1989 - could check out "Hatch, Match, Despatch"?

If you would care to post the names of the marriage parties you are seeking information for, then some of us here in New Zealand may be able to assist you.   
You'll need to also advise us of where they lived, or the place they were likely to have married in.

These are two different situations. I only know one party from the 1927/1928 reputed marriage. It may be a mis-transcription and I will use the hint of using . in the surname to do some more searching. I don't want to post the names of the 1950's marriage as one party may still be alive. I just wanted some ideas for other places to search which people have posted so thanks everyone.
