Thanks mckha

I only tried "Mary Sarah" as forenames (as I did wonder about the surname) with the District York and Year, on a Free BMD search.

I have the family in early Census too.

Wells Hood mentioned in the Will of William Hood of Catwick, Yorkshire.

Added:
From the Wills Volume on microfilm (Borthwick Institute York), these were copied (scribbled) into Volumes by clerks and the filming was poor too. On some seen, parts are darker and the untidy writing makes parts unreadable.

Added:
Always order an original Probate file, if you want original signatures, some have date of death recorded and bits of extra paperwork and sometimes information on the outside of the bundle roll.

Glad I've looked at that Will, a Davison name linked to Hull, came up in our family searches last week, but probably a coincidence.
