Bond family history
« on: Monday 16 June 25 12:47 BST (UK) »
Hi can someone please help me with my research

A Samuel bond b 1827 Devon England married a Susan Farley  in 1854

I am looking for Samuel's parents I thought they were John bond and Grace  ??

But I am not sure now

My wife Wendy didn't know anything about her father,  we have since found out

And her grandmother turns out to be a Doris bond b Plymouth Devon England 🇬🇧

If you could possibly help me I would be grateful

The baptism given by gc1 looks quite likely. Samuel BOND gives Plymouth as his place of birth in the 1871 and 1881 census. Do you have him in the 1841 or 1851 census?

His Naval Record is at the National Archives
The same service number of 32582 is given for Samuel Bond.
He gave a birthdate of January 1825 Plymouth and described as Fresh face Black Hair, Hazel Eyes

Another record has a birthdate of August 1827 Plymouth, and described as Freckled face, Brown Hair, Grey eyes. 5'4" tall

The same ships are listed for "both" Samuel Bond

Hi thanks for all your help

Perhaps John and Grace

Didn't marry just lived together

So we have a Baptism/ birth records for 1825 and 1827 ??

There were a few Samuel bonds around  ??

We possibly might find him by his middle name   ??

Best wishes Phil

As anyone got any suggestions at all about John bond and Grace  ??? Please

Perhaps we could find something new by looking at John bond and Grace separately

Any suggestions welcome

Perhaps Plymouth Devon England 🇬🇧 is the clue !!!

Best wishes Phil as always
