I have noticed that Legacy, which is owned by My Heritage, is offering a free download of vers.10 of their software and I am hoping current users can assist. My query is in regard to storage (or possible sharing) of my data.
In the FAQs on the Legacy site it says, "users can rely on continuing to use Legacy on their personal computer, unconnected to the Internet, with the tree data stored alone on their computer ...".
What is the reality if I download the free version? Does the free version require any of my info / data to be stored external to my own computer, even a copy of it? Can I really run the free version on my computer without access to the internet?
