Hi Folk,

I would be very grateful if someone could improve this small copy of my granddad and slightly enlarge it please.
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

I've thrown a bit of AI into my version, in order to increase the resolution so, although I've tried to keep to the original as much as possible, please bear in mind that he won't necessarily look exactly like himself . :-\

It really could do with being rescanned at as high a DPI as possible, as the file is very small. Do you still have the original?

Hi dublin1850

I let a relative borrowed (only photo known of him) my original photo of granddad to copy it but refused to give it back to me years ago, I  came across a FH tree belonging to this relative with this photo of granddad a few weeks ago on the net, so I copied it as it was a public tree. The original photo was small in a silver frame (approx)  3" X 2 1/2"  and the head was cropped from a waist to head photo.

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Glad I could help, Dave. So sad that your relative wouldn't return the original.

Peter

Just to let you know Peter- I've used your image of granddad on my Ancestry website tree.

Even the tiny original photo was not as good as your bigger image and means so much to my family.

Thanks again.
