The Francis Family in Australia
« on: Friday 13 June 25 16:01 BST (UK) »
I have found a death for Florence Francis 22/11/1975 in Prahran, Victoria, Australia but can't find her on any passenger lists going out there. She was born 1909 Newport, Monmouthshire & lived at 53 Cromwell Street, Newport until the early 1960's. I believe her son Colin Francis also traveled to Australia with her, he was born 1943 Newport. Any help in finding Florence & Colin would be gratefully received.

Her son may still be alive if only born 1943 so you need to remove his name from your post

What was her husbands name & when did he die?

Was she Florence Rich - married Albert  E Francis 1929?

If so - he died Dec qtr 1974 so unless they were separated she may only have travelled during 1975

Appear to have had 7 children 1929-1943

Thanks for having a look Carol. Yes I did know Colin has died, I don't know when but it was in Australia. Florence's maiden name was Rich & separated from Albert long before she went to Australia. One of the family told me Florence & Colin went to Australia early 1960's.

Hi Ellenmai.

How do you know he has died?
CarolW has advised you to take out the son's name which you have repeated in your last post.

Thanks very much Neale for the information I was looking for, an excellent find & thanks also for your time spent looking.

Sue/Sparrett As a member of Rootschat for over 13 years I am well aware of their policy & wouldn't have mentioned the person once let alone twice, that you have mentioned. Had I not been assured by the immediate UK family they had been informed by the Australian family he had died, his name wouldn't have been mentioned at all. I'm also aware of how to modify a post.
