Ancestry problem: No checkbox next to suggested family tree hints
« on: Saturday 07 June 25 02:54 BST (UK) »
Ancestry would have me delete the cache and change security settings (which I've done) but... the check box that allows me to select a suggested family tree hint has suddenly disappeared from Safari, Firefox and the Ancestry app on my iPhone, which tells me that it's not a browser setting. Has anyone else had this problem?

If you mean the hints that arrive by email, you don't actually need the check box, just click on the name and it will take you to the hint.

By the way, I haven't had any trouble, the check boxes were on the email I received today.

It does take me to the hint but until a few days ago, there was a checkbox that allows one to select one or more family tree hints and then it helps transfer the info that you want to your record.

Ancestry seem to break the buttons quite often when playing with new additions to protools and records, it's more apparent with Edge than other browsers but does affect them all to some degree at different times. I've had many an argument with their so called 'support ' as I don't want to install multiple additional browsers just to have whichever they recommend on any given day.
