I am trying to progress Mary Clazey born about 1775. A Birth Register for son William Walton born Barracks, Newcastle upon Tyne 9 Feb 1810 (father Joseph Walton) has her father as James Clazey of Ayton Berwickshire. Mary Clazey has a vague Berwick birthplace which could be Berwickshire or Northumberland (not found ScotlandsPeople). Searches find the Clazey surname but roughly one generation younger than Mary and her father would have been born around 1750. Mary Clazey married Joseph Walton in London 1795. Joseph Walton was a soldier and lived in various barracks - Woolwich, Newcastle, Brighton, Colchester...
