I am trying to get the address of Edward Vail on the 1861 census.

I think it is 2c Spring Garrett Mile

?

Well, that took some finding. Not to be confused with a later Spring Field Gardens in Poplar!

Here it is on the 1870 Town Plan running north off Mile End Road.
