Good morning folks
Yes, June already,  hope everyone is chipper this week..

Although the sun is out it is still quite chilly but it is early

I have been given 2 tiffany type up lighters to sell for the church   I took them to a well known  village  where there are  lots  of auction outlets,  no one wanted them so I had to bring  then home, will have to wait for our next bazaar or fete, wasn't a waste of time as my daughter and grandaught came and we had lunch out,  made a change.

Viktoria  hope you arrived safely, enjoy the little ones.

What a wet and miserable day! I managed to mow one of the lawns - badly, yesterday, but that was enough to drive me to splat out, meaning to continue today, but ....

Weather wiped out most of last week's TT Practices, but thankfully 3 races were held yesterday and 2 more scheduled for today. It's a bit chilly, though.

Gale Force winds yesterday evening; not sure how the campers coped?

Not exactly sun bathing weather.

Hi All

I hope those unwell are improving.

Motorcycling in the rain was never much fun. Especially, light showers after a longish spell of hot weather, the roads surface could be tricky on two wheels!

Just seen this headline:

Dogs to share a bed with 2025: Here are the 18 best - and worst - dog bed buddies

The headline made me laugh  ;D  ;D

It gave me flash backs to 1994 (not 1984, which we have now due to surveillance, censorship and the erosion of truth ).

My bedroom is my place and my dog (if I had one) would have his/her own dog bed. We would respect and be kind to each other, go for walks, but my dog would also know his/her place, not jump up on passing strangers, friends or locals and would wait at his/her bowl for any scraps and not be allowed to eat or lick off my dinner plates etc.

Mark

I agree, I love animals but wouldn't let them jump up on furniture,  it would have its own cosy bed, plus I wouldn't have one of the scatty supposedly  designer  dogs, we have one next door, drives me mad when left,  if anyone passes their door it is off again, must be one of the worst breeds, because they look so cute they are appealing but they grow into scatty uncontrollable  dogs, when at home as a child we had a lovely cocker spaniel,  I have his birth certificate and pedigree, 5 generations.

Sun out today which feels so much better that the dull dark day yesterday.

Take care

Latest scam received this morning. Reminder for renewal of Road Fund Tax. Not in the normal reminder format so should be easily spotted.
Mine is due end of August but this one says end of May!!!

Re dogs not allowed on furniture and beds  - all my friends who have dogs have started off with those intentions but they don't last!  :D Although when a friend visits with her dog, the dog sits on the floor. In fact she loves sprawling on my carpet, bless her.

Where's Viktoria? I'm sure I spotted her on another thread but not here.
