hi i have a marriage of Richard Pritchard "nailer" and catherine parry both of this parish on 18th april 1772. john lloyd curate. ref n33g on top left. it says this was an anglican church so would this have been st giles please. and what parish is this referring to please.

his son john born in wrexham in 1782. in the 1861 census his son John is indicates as being born in Chirk now aged 76 and married to jane. jane is indicated as being born in   Gethelwar, Merionethshire, Wales. In the 1851 census it say she was born in cymoed? i think the marriage would have been before 1814. so looking for the place of marriage and Janes surname if possible please

Closest I can find for Johns Marriage is;
07 Sep 1808 St Mael and St Sulien, Corwen, Merionethshire
John PRITCHARD to Jane JONES.

What children to you have for them?
When where were they born?

Helps to find right time frame for Marriage.

I see Grandson Peter was the illeg Son of Daug Margaret.

thanks trish did not know about peter. a son john was born in 1814 in chirk. so my guess would be 1810s so your 1808 looks a possibilty he was born 7th jan 1782. but census indicates 1776. thank you
