Lookup Request 1911 Census Ethel Featherstone
« on: Sunday 01 June 25 15:48 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find Ethel Featherstone on the 1911 Census?

She was born 23/12/1874 Ethel Roberts and married George Featherstone in Salford in 1896.

I believe they only had 1 daughter, Lucy Featherstone.

1881 - Manchester with Grandparents
1891 - Manchester with Grandfather
1901 - Salford with husband George & daughter Lucy
1911 - ?
1921 - Domestic Servant in Rawtenstall, Lancashire
1939 - Pensioners Widow in Blackpool

Many thanks,

Francesca.

There is a Lucy 14 with an Alice not Ethel 34 both born Manchester in Wales in 1911 - both visitors to the Welch household  :-\

Do you think that might be them?  Alice is down as a widow and a mantle maker millinery

Possible death for George age 28 in 1902

I saw the 1911 for Lucy Featherstone with Alice Featherstone, but I assumed it wasn't her as I didn't recognise the 'Alice Featherstone', but I suppose she could have been a sibling of her Father perhaps, I'll have to research her to find out.

I'm confused by this actually, on the 1901 Census record Ethel and George Featherstone are living with their 4 year old daughter 'Lucy', however Lucy Featherstone (who was definitely Ethel's daughter) was born 16th October 1886, so she was in fact 14 years old.

I cannot find a birth for Lucy Featherstone in 1886.

I'm suspecting that she was not the daughter of George Featherstone.
