Zophar LANE - 1808 Occupation

Evening All,

I'm struggling to make out the occupation of Zophar LANE on his 14/08/1808, Manchester marriage to Mary TURNER.

My first thought was, "Spinner," but then I just didn't feel sure at all. The dot on the i is at the end of the word, which is making me question if the occupation really is spinner.

Second opinion anyone?

I'm just looking at an 1813 baptism of a daughter of Zophar and Mary Lane. Zophar's occupation is recorded as "skinner."

I'm wondering if Zophar had a change of profession, or if the person who wrote the 1808 marriage details had terrible handwriting and spelling..?
