Thomas Malcolm 3 mths Grandson

According to a Tree (who don't have this Census) the Granddaughter is a child of Flora

On F/S she also had 2 daughters after John Doig died Agnes and Susan (from memory Agnes died early)

1851 the Family is under DOY on Ancestry

Apologies for taking so long to respond.
I agree with all the findings apart from a couple in #9 but I'm still learning and happy to be taught.

I agree with Agnes as she was born in South St, Forfar, but Susan was born in Dundee. Is the fact that Flora Doig is an unusual name, enough to assume it's the same person? Flora is still listed in 1871 Forfar census.

"1851 the Family is under DOY on Ancestry"
There are only 13 entries for DOY in the 1851 census and none are from Forfar - I think this is a mistake! but I don't have access to Ancestry to check.

There is a George Doig listed in the 'Scotland, National Probate Index (Calendar of Confirmations and Inventories), 1876-1936' in 1903 (there's also one for 1904). Is anyone able to confirm if the death place is Forfar and the death date?

So the Family got around according to birth places.

As I said a transript may be worth looking at image on Scotlandspeople to see if this is Flora:

Hi Trish,
I'm confused.
Scotland's People 1851 census one has one James Doy aged 71 from Kirkcudbright and only one James Doy born at all in Scotland, 1724 Kennoway. That's not even the same person.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Cant you try searching without surname on there like you can on Ancestry?
