Haydon Bridge -- John Davison baptism 1820-26
« on: Monday 26 May 25 21:31 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find baptism info. for John Davison born in Haydon Bridge, Northumberland between 1820 and 1826. His father's firstname was Robert. Robert's occupation was 'mason' (according to John's marriage certificate).
1826 is the year of birth given in the 1851 and 1861 census.  1871-1891 and his death certificate suggest 1820. So I'm thinking he's probably somewhere between the two.
In the 1851-1891 censuses he's in Ovingham/Mickley, married to Elizabeth (Dodd), his second wife. But where he is in 1841 I've also been unable to discover.
   Any help appreciated.
   Janet

Doesn't help with a baptism, however there is this death notice:

"At Haydon Bridge, on the 3rd inst., aged 56, Mr. Robert Davison, stone mason."
Saturday,  Aug. 11, 1849
Publication: Newcastle Guardian and Tyne Mercury

Also a marriage of Robert DAVISON, mason of Haydon Bridge to Mary FOSTER of Hexham on 17 May 1840 - another possible son of Robert? Though there certainly do seem to be a lot of masons named DAVISON at Haydon Bridge.

I couldn't find a John Davison/Davidson in my transcript of Haydon Bridge or the Presbyterian one.  Plenty of children born to Robert and Margaret, stone mason.  Nearly all of the Davison men were stone masons.

Daug Ann has mmn as Anderson on reg.
Possible Burial of Elizabeth Davison 19 Sep 1843 Hexham age 29
