A bone mill, and a salt works there in 1859. Looks like the salt works outline in 1901 as well.

Just had a look at a satellite view on Google maps and there is a tantalisingly similar curve visible just across the road from the grassy triangle at Kings Drive.

No I was being too imaginative. Here it is still marked on a map from mid-20th century: slide the slider to the satellite view and you will see it is now buried under what I take to be a sea wall.
