Is the person on 1861 to see what birthplace is on that? 

What has it been transcribed as out of interest?

It looks like it begins with 'E' as it looks like the 'E' in England

I think it begins with 'E' and ends with 'y'

Begins with an E (Greek cursive) - Eldlersy ?  possibly Elderslie (Renfrewshire) ?
