21st Hussars
« on: Thursday 22 May 25 22:41 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone
Can anyone help please.

I am researching a gentleman who served as a Private in the 21st Hussars.
He married in 1887 in Bangalore, India.
On the 1891 census he is stationed at Canterbury, with his India born wife, a 2 year old son, also born in Bangalore.
I would like to know when The 21st Hussars were in India, and when they came back to England. My man was Irish, born c1853 at Bray, Dublin. I know from his marriage, that his father was John. Where would a Irish man “ sign up”
Many thanks
JeannieR
