A son born 1845 so father probably still alive? James died aged 9 in 1854 Spalding.

When son George marries in 1857 he names his father as Frederick Leveslay  occ--Mariner, abode as per 1851 census, Holbeach Road.

I can't see a death in 1871 in Lincs for her husband.  Where did you get the info re 1871?

There is John Leavesly, born Spalding in 1833, on 1881-91 censuses.

1881 - 3, Albert Terrace, Drypool, Sculcoates, Yorkshire

1891 - 6, Brighton Terrace, Southcoates, Sculcoates, Yorkshire

He married Elizabeth Hubbard on 27th April 1856 in Great Yarmouth, but only banns.

Baptism as John Henry Looseley 1832 Spalding, parents Frederick & Anne---occupation Waterman
