I don't know if its still sung but I also remember singing it back in the day, the very early 1950's.

Yes LM, I shall persevere until I find someone who will use the fabrics I won't let them go to waste.

Only recently I was reading how dressmaking was a popular hobby again, so I will see what evening classes there are locally when the autumn prospectus come out.

If you use f*book, there are often free groups where you can give things away in your area. We’ve passed on several items that way which weren’t quite suitable for the charity shops. The folk who’ve come to collect them have been very grateful.

Not sure if this fits the parameters for this Chat page. I have been doing some clearing and tidying in the study and came across this song from the School Hymnal of the Methodist Church. I can remember singing this in the infants school many years ago. It would be interesting to know if it is still sung, but probably now so far out of date. Perhaps rather too twee for today's children!

Don’t forget the Amen at the end! I remember this song very well . Also Cliff College choruses anyone ? Now Zaccheus was a very little man/ Jesus wants me for a sunbeam/ Only a boy called David etc.

Yes, all of those I imagine not many youngsters know, same as nursery rhymes.

I've just donated 2 metres line of books relating to Military Aviation (except ATC) to the Air Ambulance, to try and make more book shelving space for more Aviation Books, Technical Manuals and Air Traffic Control.

A box of Air Ministry Air Publications has gone to an Aviation Museum Archive, because they didn't hold them.

The RAF Museum Archive had one of mine, because it was the only surviving 1935 Edition. The World's Libraries don't have one listed.

I am interested in the development of Air Traffic Control and the Distress Organisation.

I find it difficult to part with anything.

There's nothing wrong with being mediocre...as long as you're good at it!

The Titanic Inquiry was far too expensive, but I did get a low grade scan of a page of some of the Distress calls received from Titanic.

It had gone well over £1,000. I have seen copies a lot cheaper.

When I was a boy my Grandparents and Great Aunt told me stories about the Titanic and Robert Falcon Scott of the Antarctic.

There was a fire in a bulkhead of the Titanic and the ship should never have left the quayside.

I don't use Instagram but if you decide to use it I'm sure the very helpful contributors to the Technical Help board will point you in the right direction.  Might be interesting to try something new and you'll be able to impress the younger members of your family by talking about 'Insta'.  :D
