Thank you both again.
Yes I have the Window Tax & Hearth Tax records for Westmorland but think the Cumberland ones don't survive.

Looked through the Manorial Records you found and saw there was something in the Library at Cambridge so have emailed them - haven't received a reply yet - nor from the Cambridge FamilySearch Office asking about the OPR's for Hesket. That's my nearest big town.
Being impatient too I expect quick replies ;D ;D

Have all the Wills for Rumney for the Hesket Parish.  I have gone back to look at them and seen if I have missed anything. Will try & make a family tree with them.
John Rumney of Braithwaite d1604, his is the most informative. I believe John Jnr d1607 & Richard d1633 are two of his sons along with the eldest Edmond (No Will). He was left property in Itonfield. Then there were two daughters - Mabel & Agnes.
However I have some photos of Land Revenue Court Rolls of Hesket held at the national Archives from 1655 which mentions John & Edmond Rumney but not really much more information.

Thanks again. If I find anything else will update the post.

Quick update.
My nearest FamilySearch Centre does not order in Microfiche as it does not  have a Microfiche reader so  can't get to see the OPR's there.

The Cambridge University Library says there are lots of names on the Manor Record they hold. I can either get it copied - 56 pages - you can imagine how much that will be! ::) Or I can go in and see it.
