I’ve tried newspaper searches with various combinations of key words; I have looked at 19 Rathbone Place via FindMyPast address search in 1881, 1891 and 1901; and I have searched directories at A***y.

I have found no trace of V Fontanella, photographer.

Hello
He's in the 1910 Directories -Post Office and Kellys  but can't find him in others.
Same address and full name Victor Fontanella
The 1911 census seems to go from no 17 -the Police station to no 20

In 1901 there are a LOT of people at that address. All relatively young and mostly from various places in Europe

Well, that’s taught me that there is more than one collection of Directories to look at for London. Thanks ciderdrinker.

Added: he’s also in the 1910 Post Office Directory, listed under ‘Photographic Artists’.

I can’t find him in any census, so now I expect you’ll prove me wrong again!

Looking at 1911, at FindMyPast, 19 Rathbone Place is not indexed, and it seems to be skipped in the sequence of records.

In the directory entry that ciderdrinker found there is also a Joseph Andreetti, confectioner at that address. I have found him in the 1911, but he has moved to Southwark.

In the 1910 Valuation the description of 19 Rathbone Place is:
Quote
B: Showrm & store{?)
Gd.: Shop & Sh. rm
1: 2 rooms
2: 2  "
3: 3 "

Old premises.
