George Smyth probate

Is it possible that this genealogical extract from Family Search for George Smyth says he is
Baron of the Exchequer? Could someone explain what this title means please?
Would the first date be his date of death and perhaps the second date the date of probate?
Regards,
Jen.

Yes it does say 'Baron of the Exchequer', although I have no idea what that means, was he in government? UK has a 'Chancellor of the Exchequer'.
Double yes to your second question.

Thankyou macwil. I don't know anything about George Smyth, he is brother of James Smyth
a direct ancestor. This record is from Ireland possibly Dublin.
