Taking this together with information in other posts I think that this suggests that Daisy Chesters apprenticed with Stretch and Harlock, then joined William Moir, then moved back to Stretch and Harlock after his death.

NANTWICH NEWS BREVITIES
LONG SERVICE
After 30 years' continuous service with Stretch and Harlock Ltd. Nantwich, as an upholstery seamstress. and more recently on the shop staff, Miss D. Chesters, of 46, South Crofts, Nantwich, retired on Saturday. Miss Chester's total service with the firm exended over a long period, as she was originally apprenticed with them as a talloress. She received gifts from the directors and her colleagues.

Alan - thank you again !!

Aha!! I have just found that I have an Ann CHESTERS in my family tree who was my 3rd Great Grandmother. She was born in Nantwich, baptised 6 April 1799.

I wonder if this means that I was possibly related to the two CHESTERS sisters, who played a highly significant role in my childhood?

Are you trying to discover who Christopher was?

An item about Messrs. Stretch and Harlock at the Nantwich Museum site:
