Fleeson - death and burial record
« on: Wednesday 07 May 25 05:39 BST (UK) »
I am back to some research. Looking for birth (and parents), death and burial record of Elizabeth Fleeson (nee Anderson) wife of Plunket Fleeson, Castletown Delvin, Westmeath. Elizabeth was born abt 1803. Married Plunket 28 May 1824 Delvin. Children of marriage Maria bp 1824, James bp 1827/8, Emily between 1827-1833, Thomas 1831/3, Plunket? 1836 - approximate birth/baptism dates.
It has been suggested that Elizabeth may have died after childbirth 1836 but I have not found a record. Plunket remarried Eliza Price 1840.
Any suggestions regarding Elizabeth Fleeson (Anderson) greatly appreciated, regards .... Alison

I wondered if the 28 May 1840 second marriage of Plunket lists him as a widow. I don't have a copy of the certificate but have a FHL film number 101011. The name says Fleison (should be Fleeson) location - Killucan, Westmeath to Elizabeth Price. Does anyone know how I can view a copy of the film reference listed, thanks ...... Alison

The record on FamilySearch links to a microfilm imageset which includes some baptism, burials and marriages for Killucan Parish (CofI), you have to browse through it.

There's a transcript of this marriage on FamilySearch, see if this link works, you need to have a sign-in (free).

This record gives residences for the bride & groom, Delvin & Killucan, names of two witnesses - William Fleison & Robert Price and notes that the marriage was 'by license' and carried out by a Cecil Crampton rector, other than the date there are no other details.

I was able to view and copy both articles (the first one very long) and they involve a court case over inheritance. If you are interested I can send them by email (just send me a PM with your email address).
