Hi Super Researchers!
I am looking for some advice.
According to a marriage cert I have ancestors living in 1865 in 10 Fleming's Place (James Kenny, labourer, born c1844 and died 25 April 1887) and 3 Fleming's Place (Eliza Tigh, servant, born c1847 and died 18 January 1897). Their fathers are Michael Kenny (labourer) and James Tigh (labourer). After their marriage I have them remaining in Fleming's Place in the 1870's before moving to other addresses in the immediate vicinity in the 1880's. Both died before the 1901 census so I haven't been able to confirm they are definitely originally from Dublin. Given they were married less than 2 months before their first child was born, I wondered if they had moved from outside Dublin for anonymity.
I haven't the mothers names for either of the people on the marriage cert above on either the civil record or the church record so have been unable to go back an earlier than that for them.
Has anyone any suggestions any where else I could search to potentially find information that would allow me to:
- Find the mother's names for James Kenny and Eliza Tigh? I would like to find the baptismal details for them or the marriage records for their parents
- Find who else lived in the above addresses around that time that would help me confirm they are in fact locals?
- Any additional info that would take me back before 1865 on that branch of my tree
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I appreciate any suggestions you might have.
Regards
Gemmima
