Myggf or gggf?

William Kirtland was born at Charlton on Ottmoor about 1806, the child of Samuel and Ann. He was married to Sophia Yates 24 March 1834 at Thame by T. T Lee.
It seemed that William could write well where as Sophia signed the register with a X.
They had seven children together.
One of their daughters, Mary, married into the  Seagrave or Seagrove family. They had a shop on or near the Windsor Road at Sough
William  died in 1892 having lived a long life of 86 years.

I was under the impression that John K was a farmer and may have made a mistake somewhere.
