I can't find a probate for Arthur, strange as he was said to be living on private means..

Odd when Arthur's father John Marten Cripps died in 1927 he only left £12.12s 3d.

I'll add to that when his mother Bessie died in 1926 she left £460.15s 3d, so looks like the money came from her.

Thanks everyone, can probably close this now.

The name of the son in question has been found and his likely death. A bonus in finding there were two sons.

Can't find anything about the second one so he may have left the country after changing his surname. He could also be still alive.
