Do I have the right Sigri Jacobsdatter? (Vinger, Norway)

Hello there,

I've had some difficulty locating a birth/baptism record for Sigri Jacobsdatter Udgaardsbraaten. I believe I've finally found the right baptismal record, but it doesn't match the age stated in her burial record.

For some context, Sigri had a child out of wedlock with Haagen Torstensen from the village of Udgaarden in Vinger parish. According to her burial record, she died from childbirth on the 28th of April 1828 at the age of 26. So her year of birth would be around 1802.

I combed through the birth/baptismal records for Vinger parish and found a Sigri Jacobsdatter Udgaardsbraaten who was baptised on 7 June 1807.

Do I have the right person? And is there any explanation for the discrepancy between the age in her baptismal and burial records?

Not sure about countries other than England but it happened here so why not there - birth and baptism dates might be some years apart.  Although common to baptise children when they are still tiny it can happen later - perhaps when other children in the family are baptised.  So don't close your mind to a birth in 1802 followed by a baptism in 1807.

I couldn't find a baptism for an ancestor and assumed he hadn't been baptised, only to find that his baptism was done when he was 18 years old!
