She moved late in life to New Zealand and died there. Her cremated remains were lost in a house fire.

I'm talking about his mother, not his wife.

Do you know where Marie Catherine (nee Ollivier) was buried/cremated? I can't find her death records. I thought 'Mrs. H. L. Short of St Mabyn' is referring to Mrs. Horace Leonard Short? It could be just a coincidence though, lots of Shorts in Cornwall, or more likely a transcription error (I don't have a subscription to check the actual article).

I don’t know Catherine C Short died 1969 in Liskeard while in Lanellion Hospital, Station Road Liskeard.  Same location as the death of Francisco S Short in 1954.  Going round in circles here, as lots of Short’s in Cornwall. Unless something new/solid comes along, I must move onwards. Thx

I don't think this is her. She was born around 1873 (according to Census records) and this Catherine C. Short was 85 in 1969, DOB c. 1884.

I just thought that maybe Francisco was buried/cremated at the same place as his mother.

Catherine C. Short  buried in Camden 4 February 1938. Not sure why she wasn’t buried with her husband Horace Short.  I have checked here and no ashes etc., added Horace Shorts grave. Also checked with Liz Walker a relation, she renovated two Short graves in Hampstead and no additions there.
