George Marshall, 6th Dragoons in about 1894, who where his parents ?
« on: Sunday 27 April 25 07:24 BST (UK) »
I am looking at a man named George Marshall who lived in the Preston area of Lancashire but was born in Guildford Surrey in about 1874 to 1876 or there abouts.
I believe he may have been a member of the 6th Dragoons , sometime about 1894 and perhaps up to about 1897 or so.
Can anyone tell me who his parents may have been , should it be possible that would be great.
I dont know much else about this man , so anything new would be some what special.
What i do know is that the 6th Dragoons where in the preston area (Fulwood barracks) in about 1895/1896 but not anything else.

David.

Looking at the image of the family in 1891 I think father John might have been a HorseKeeper - the word has lines through it which make it difficult to be sure.  His son George is listed a Groom when he enlisted in 1894
