Guessing she isn't going to be at 15 Dalton Street in 1851
I'm looking through the St. George part of Manchester on the 1851 census.
I've just spotted an Elizabeth PHILLIPS at 267 Rochdale Road. She's a lodger / domestic servant in the household of a John, I think it's REILY or REEBY or REELY or RERBY, age 24.
This Elizabeth is unmarried, age 25 and born in Manchester.
And interestingly, at 20 Worth Street is a Simon NIGHTINGALE, wife, Martha and 1 year old son, William. Possibly the father of Elizabeth Nightingale PHILLIPS b. 1848? Simon's age is transcribed as 37, but could the age actually read 27?
On the 1851 census, Samuel PHILLIPS and family are living at 14 Worth Street...
It keeps getting more interesting.
At 16 Worth Street is a Richard PHILLIPS and wife, Susannah. He's too young to be the brother of Samuel, but could he be a nephew?
Richard PHILLIPS, Head, 26 c. 1825, Manchester.
Age transcribed as 26 (so c. 1825) but could it be 36 (so c. 1815)? Either way, the age is out for Samuel's brother, but still and interesting one.
