Elizabeth PHILLIPS - Born/bapt. in Lancashire or Cheshire?

Hi,

As I don't know if Elizabeth PHILLIPS was born in Lancashire or Cheshire, I thought I'd post here.

I'm trying to confirm who Elizabeth's parents were and hopefully find a baptism for her.

This is what I've got so far:

Samuel PHILLIPS was born in Chester in 1801
Julia Ann nee EDWARDS I'm still working out
Samuel and Julia married in 1821 in Chester.

Mary PHILLIPS b. 1821 Chester. Baptised 1852 in Manchester.
Robert PHILLIPS c. 1824 in Manchester. I haven't found a baptism yet, but Robert's marriage cert. gives Samuel PHILLIPS as his father.
Both Mary and Robert were children of Samuel and Julia Ann PHILLIPS.
Was Elizabeth also a child of Samuel and Julia Ann? I haven't found a baptism or Elizabeth on the 1851 census. I think she probably was a daughter of Samuel and Julia Ann, but I'd love to be sure.

Other children of Samuel and Julia Ann:
Martha PHILLIPS b. 1827 in Manchester. Baptised 1852 in Manchester.
Ann PHILLIPS b. 1832 in Manchester. Baptised 1852 in Manchester.
Ellen PHILLIPS b. 1837 in Manchester. Baptised 1852 in Manchester.
Emma PHILLIPS c. 1842 in Manchester. I haven't found a baptism yet.

I've no idea why the children were baptised so late. I also don't know where Martha, Ann and Ellen PHILLIPS were in 1841?

Julia Ann PHILLIPS died 16/10/1845 at 15 Dalton Street, Manchester (St. George). The death certificate has the name of "Ann PHILLIPS" not Julia Ann, but I believe this is the correct death.

Elizabeth NIGHTINGALE is actually Elizabeth Nightingale PHILLIPS b. 03/04/1848 at 15 Dalton Street, Manchester (St. George). She is the daughter of Elizabeth PHILLIPS (I assume the very same Elizabeth PHILLIPS that this post is about). I don't know what happens to Elizabeth Nightingale PHILLIPS after the 1851 census and I haven't got a baptism for her yet.

I don't think Elizabeth Nightingale PHILLIPS is actually Samuel PHILLIPS niece (as recorded on the 1851 census). Could she be his granddaughter? Samuel PHILLIPS mother, Martha, died in 1832. Her age was recorded as 70 on the burial register.

1861 looks likely she was with Mary & Emma. Does not help with finding Elizabeth snr, have you checked for Marriage or death?

I'm looking for a possible marriage or death, but I haven't turned either up yet. Even if Elizabeth didn't marry, she had to die, so I know one or both is out there.

Is there any other information about the mother Elizabeth on the birth of baby Elizabeth, any occupation or anything?

Oh dear yes it is isn’t it, not much to go on there. 

I was wondering if Elizabeth the mother was a niece in 1841 rather than a daughter, the dates for the other children are spaced out quite evenly so she would have to squeeze in 1825-1826 depending on actual birth dates for the 2 closest to her.

Possible bapt for Elizabeth jnr. No surname, but has Dalton St. Is birthdate different from cert?

I've also wondered if Elizabeth PHILLIPS from the 1841 census is a niece of Samuel.

I know of the the following siblings for Samuel PHILLIPS:

John PHILLIPS 1796 - 1857. Married Ann JONES in 1816. I have 7 children for John and Ann but none are named Elizabeth.
Robert PHILLIPS 1799 - 1814.
Samuel PHILLIPS 1801 - 1855.
Richard PHILLIPS b. 1804
Ann PHILLIPS b. 1806
Abraham PHILLIPS b. 1810

I haven't yet worked out what happened to Richard, Ann or Abraham.
