Subscription to Ancestry ?
« on: Monday 21 April 25 16:08 BST (UK) »
Tested DNA with Ancestry in 2016 and did well with results. Over years did enjoy without subscription shared matches, ThruLines, Maternal/Paternal breakdown and a few other useful assists. All little benefits disappeared 1 or 2 years ago and I miss them as part of the hobby. Okay, ready to pay but wondering what exactly I will get for my few bob, will my little benefits be available again ? TIA

Pay the subscription and you get the benefits.

Add the Pro Tools subscription and you get more benefits.

Ancestry now only offers limited access for non subscribers.

There are links in the forum to the latest subscription deals, as an example I have been paying £89.99 a year for Worldwide, which I think is a reasonable amount.

Biggles

You've mentioned the low cost deal with Ancestry but I don't recall you saying how? It is considerably below the normal price on offer.

I hope Biggles doesn't mind me answering instead.

Thank you both. I have taken advantage of the offer. It sounds like it can be renewed at the end of the subscription year. Is that the case?

Let your sub lapse and then renew again using the link

What we normally suggest is that you cancel your subscription before it auto renews, this can be done in advance and your access to ancestry will continue to the end of the term.  I do mine at least a month before.  Then just renew using the offer again.
