Thanks. Still a bit confused. If I post that George was a bargeman in the 1911 Census am I breaching this rule?

No..as it was written by you..not copy & paste full details given in transcript, as this is Crown Copyright.  Partial to full details are fine as determined/written by you. This is why look up boards are unable to post images. Most chatters do not post transcripts of 1921 & 1911. Other census details are given written/determined by poster.

We are highjacking this thread with an unrelated issue to OP interests. Will leave it there. Hopefully Steve gets the gist of info posted relating to his family interest.

Thanks again, and sorry Steve C for hijacking your thread (athough I was just trying to help him regarding George's occupation).

I have been reprimanded a couple times here for posting details instead of quoting rules or giving hints, but the reasons given were not based on rules, just the opinion of the poster (not the OP) and not relevant to the discussion. I'm a newbie and I would appreciate if members that have been around for decades or have thousands of posts would be more polite or simply report my posts to the moderators so they can judge for themselves if the posts are against the rules. Rant over! (btw, this is not directed to you, Cas!)

I mentioned son Albert in 1939, who has Stanley Smith living in his household. Who is also with this family in 1921

This is the 1921 info for Mary Ann Smith living Cambridgeshire with husband George William Smith

Name   Mary Ann Smith
Gender   Female
Marital Status   Married
Age   49 Years 4 Months
Relation to Head   Wife
Estimated Birth Year   1872
Birth Place   Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England
Residence Date   1921

The 1911 has different details for wife Mary Ann bc 1888, nee Bays

So George William Smith died between 1921 - 1939

Many thanks Cas and PatLac for your replies, really grateful for your continued help and interest  ;D

You are quite correct Cas regarding reply #25, sincere apologies but I missed that amongst all the interaction that was going on.

Unfortunately, I do not have subscription to Ancestry but will attend the local library at the next convenient time to access their version of FindMyPast. I now have the census details you supplied in your reply so downloading a copy from their resources should be straight forward.

I already have a copy of the 1911 census for Mary Ann Parfery, she is listed as a 41 year old Widow living at Swing Brow, Chatteris with her 6 children. Listed as Home Duties but Not Known where born.

Not sure about the 1888 and nee Bayes you mention in your reply though. The Mary Ann I am looking for was Tabor before Parfery and born circa 1870.

1911 refers to George Smith with first wife & family. He is with in-laws, her parents.

She was another Mary Ann b 1888 nee Bays
