McDonough in Scotland
« on: Tuesday 15 April 25 16:38 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

I'm hoping to find links with Scotland for the McDonough surname. I've been told the name is predominantly Irish in origin. Are there many cases of McDonough or its various spellings appearing in Scotland?

A relative looked into the family history and found one unusual record from the Orkney Islands but couldn't be sure if it was a glitch or just a default placeholder pin on the map. Has anybody else encountered similar?

to see a particular record you will need credits but can see the basic for free.
