As Wilcoxon says be careful taking anything from those trees. I can’t see any evidence that Benjamin on them is correct. No census proof, baptism etc and the only one with any detail outside Warwickshire where Barnett seems to be a common surname.

Thanks  :)

Maybe I was being too polite in my last comment. I know there are lots of cut & paste, copied and completely un-researched trees on Ancestry. I've no idea what the owners of those trees get out of the experience.

I have a public tree on Ancestry. It is constantly being copied without being checked or researched by the person doing the copying. I, like anyone, make mistakes in my tree. When I find a mistake, I update my tree, but that mistake remains in the copied trees. I go through phases where I get frustrated and make my tree private, but that never lasts. I like being in touch with other family historians.

I'm happy to look at other trees. If it's a tree built and researched by the owner of the tree, I get in touch. Sometimes collaboration can be born from such contact.

I really do appreciate your advice, though. I have shared the very same advice myself.

Kind regards, Rowan  :)

For anyone interested, my tree on Ancestry (or one of my trees) is called:

Barnett, Aspey & Phillips Family Tree

It's a very new tree that I created when my DNA revealed one of my great-grandparents isn't who I thought they were.

The tree owner is Kirsty Morley (that's me). I smile when I look at my username on RootsChat, "Rowan Tree." When I gave birth to my now 18 year old son, Rowan, I felt suddenly very connected to all my female ancestors who had laboured and given birth before me. It was that experience that inspired me to look into my ancestry.
