Yes, many thanks, glad to have confirmation, that's what I found for the location after looking at the place names listed "nearby" on the census, then checking where Erringden was on genuki -

- I came up with this, but hadn't had a chance to post it (other places ringed were also in the 1941 census). this is an 1888-1892 map which was the earliest I could find. thanks again, everyone.
HAY - Aberdeen, Shetland, etc.
LEE - Todmorden, etc.
BELSHAW - Farnworth, Bolton, Wigan, Manchester, Todmorden, etc.
ALLINSON - Pontefract, Leeds, etc.
UPWARD - Isle of Wight
