Halp Please (Middleton of Aberdeen Family)
« on: Tuesday 08 April 25 16:58 BST (UK) »
Hi All

I'm working steadily on my family tree. My 7 times Great Grandmother on my paternal side was a woman called Margaret Middleton, her birth was registered at St Nicholas, Aberdeen 18th April 1699.

Her parents were a John Middleton (born 1658 Aberdeen) and Christan Pyper (born 15th July 1575) . I'm under the impression that her father John was the grandson of Francis Middleton, younger brother germain of General Sir John Middleton, 1st Earl of Middleton, however I'm unsure as I cannnot see any further records. Is there anyone on here that may be related or have access to further information?

Have you seen the Wiki entry?

John Middleton, 1st Earl of Middleton

Born around 1608, John was the eldest son of Robert Middleton of Caldhame and his wife Catherine Strachan; his younger brother Alexander and nephew George both served as Principal of King's College, Aberdeen; great uncle of George's son John Middleton; and great-great uncle of Charles Middleton, 1st Baron Barham
