Done a second pillow today,  seems to work quite well, the metal hangers have to be pulled down to make  it longer so that the 2 hangers can go together to sandwich the pillow in,  tie at bottom, you must get the pillow in the middle , I   have metal pegs that you can also hang 2  hangers on with tops or shirts on, quite difficult to explain, then when dry I plump it up, was really worth a try.

Viktoria  I can't believe you then ran around the house after your hospital visit, surely you needed to have a rest, you amaze me.

Sleep tight everyone, I don't sleep well  any remedies?

No obvious effects from the Covid booster so far Mare. I don't usually have any problems.

Interesting to hear of the experience of someone else switching from dairy milk Gillg

Sorry to hear you had another blip whilst at the hospital Viktoria. I hope they are able to sort your problems out soon. I can’t say what oat milk would be like in tea, I don’t drink tea having never liked it. My drink of choice since I was a teenager has been coffee and I always drink it black.

I have oat milk on cereal or drink it on it’s own either chilled or hot. I  Keep meaning to try it in drinking chocolate but haven’t got around to it yet.

You were probably ready for a good sleep after an eventful big day followed by physical activity at home Viktoria and knowing blip was noted is good.

Thought last night should have been more active myself yesterday after being wakeful nodding off and too short a sleep, did have a walk in morning but then a day out and a bit of time on purchases for house and gifts with no rush  :) ... that and a bit of temporary discomfort perhaps and the malfunction of the brain on/off switch :D

I have bought oatmilk to try fairly recently since living in new area and getting together with several  neighbours regularly, some of who have intolerances, having to think up different ways to go about recipes etc. Lady across road is strictly gluten free and dairy can also be an issue though she doesn't make an issue of it and is happy to contribue what she is able to have. Another is celiac and then one who just doesn't like dairy. Just have small tetra pack now of oatmilk and one of almond milk to hand if needed. #1 sis had late onset reaction to oats, just as well I haven't as it's a daily staple for me with having my soaked overnight oats for breakfast with apple.

Daughter and her 2 youngest girls have had yucky few days one by one with a gastric bug, thankfully all a lot brighter today. Eldest had other grandparents pick her up from weekend camp and she and her dad stayed over there and no contact with youngest who had it first at the weekend, hopefully have that way avoided it!

Day closing in and time for evening meal soon ... :)

ive been dairy free for many years

at first the only alternative was soya and it does effect the taste of cereal, tea + coffee.

my solution was to change my favourites ...have a different cereal drink a coffee/ choc mix instead of hot choc or coffee.

almond milk is too strong for me .
oat milk is the most bland so easiest to change to.

recently tried pea milk.(not strong ) &  hemp milk ( watery )

Viktoria take it easy sometimes.

Mare i can't train myself not to get up in the night ...i end up wetting myself !

its a problem at the moment because toilet is thru the bedroom where my friend is sleeping .
im on living room sofa so have to leave extra time for the bathroom sprint guided by the light on my mobile phone so i dont trip over anything .

Rather slowly retraining myself 'bm' on some newer more habitual things  ;) ... do understand need and urgency a different matter entirely.

Last couple of days of school term and a two week break over Easter, noticed seniors of the high school across the park at end of our street haven't parked in our street this morning or yesterday, perhaps no school for them until after holidays  :-\

added ... a few late arrivals now parked, they do seem to have their own schedule   :)  ... own road code too some of them  :-X

Hope your family are now well L.M.

I understand bridgidmac , I am on Bumetanide ,fast acting ,one each
morning ,
But can’t  do that if I have to travel etc.
I don’t feel generally ill, but do get tired and sometimes chest pains .
I take it easy really, one big job a day and that  is it but I do cook a proper meal each evening except Thursdays when it is fish and chips.
It is an easy house especially as it is small and all modern ,what a difference to the ten roomed one I left so near a busy broad with an hour at least  every evening of traffic stop - start with engines running which made everything very dirty.I could not  manage that now.
There are some real Stoics among RootsChatters.
I think I might have Raynaud’s Disease——-my left middle finger goes white and numb, hours at a time ,generally I am very cold ,especially hands and feet.
Covid 11th and a phone call from GP on 14 th, and no treatment needed after the bone density scan .
Must pick up new specs next time I am down in Ramsbottom.

Look after yourself folks .
Viktoria.

Oh Viktoria, you do have a lot to cope with - and you do it so well.
I've had a busy week or two, got behind with diaries, had own Golden Wedding, very quiet, even older relatives unwell, lots of worrying 'phone calls, all sorts of silly things being a nuisance - but nothing compared to some people manage to cope with!

Yes what an achievement, 50 years, I could not believe we had reached ours, those fifty years had flown by , just missed our diamond by two years .
It was a happy marriage and no one thought it would last, I was 19 going on 14 ,husband  26 going on going  on 40.
Just right.!
He made it easy.

Hope you had all the trimmings ,cake ,champagne etc.
Best of all you had each other and your family .
We have been lucky haven’t we.

Gosh some difficult health issues out there.. Best wishes to you all for a good improvement.

Baby Lily is coming on, dipping her fingers in her  baby  food and sucking them whilst mummy refills the spoon!
Six months or so now ,very sociable ,but goes to work with mummy ,at my daughter’s BMW retail outlet ,nursed by salesmen and mechanics and customers !
Hopefully I will see her soon.

Gorgeous day again , still bright sunshine.
Look after yourselves folks and thanks for kind wishes and your news.
Hope those with “ colds” are soon better and  hurting arms and other difficulties are soon 100% better—- well as near as can be!
Best wishes to everyone.
