Asked Nurse re a wasp sting on my neck .I had chased a wasp. Or some wasps one at a time yesterday, well it if was one of them it got me last night.
I have a “ sting pen “ but quite old now,so applied it anyway and also dabbed with ammonia  - no big painful throbbing lump ,just a small one a bit itchy.

Got a few plants,a lupin  a Salvia and something I will have look at to remember its name.!Special offer at Morrisson’s —— they will probably die.!

Hope all are having some lovely sunshine ,

the second sound in each pair being aspirated makes more powerful expletives in many languages

they also liked the childrens ditty

"be bo. belly .bum  drawers "

i let on that i dont know what bebo  is supposed to be .

i the evening i was very sleepy anf forgot that i had a zoom with a writers group

we re following a book / method which has a reputation of helping people overcome writers block .
its called " the artists way " by julia Cameron( or Campbell  )

A smoke  alarm in hallway floor above has been going off since 5.30 am !
i got up checked there was no actual smoke ...texted neighbours and made myself some hot soya + half a baked potato

theres no bread in the house
& the rice pudding i prepared last night wasnt cooked enough
will try to go back to sleep for an hour .

Viktoria stop chasing wasps they are vengeful creatures.

I think it's vinegar for wasp stings and bicarb of soda in a paste for bees. Some like to use honey, preferably Manuka honey for bee stings!  Pull the sting out, if you can, and wash the wound.  Use ice before treating.

Keep clear of wasps, as they can come back and sting repeatedly and bees can only sting once.

I was told "Winigar for Wasps" is the way to remember it.

I must say the ammonia really worked.

Dickens always amused me - except in "Pickwick Papers", which I found a real bore and letdown when I first - and last time - read it. Sam Weller was not my favourite character - or was Mr Pickwick himself, I may add.
