Hankow, China in 1927
« on: Friday 04 April 25 19:21 BST (UK) »
I am hoping someone can bring this picture of my dad back to life before it completely fades away.
It was taken at a hospital in Hankow, China in 1927 whilst serving on HMS Hawkins.
I am sorry but this is the best scan I could get.
Thank you for looking.

My try. :)
Stuart, the letter R on the seat on the left. Any Rollo story behind it or just coincidence?

Thank you so much for the great restorations. I was fearful of the original fading away.
I didn't notice the 'R' on the seat. I assumed it was a blemish on the picture.
Dad, Herbert Rowles, is sitting in the middle with his arms folded.
He died in 1998 and we miss him everyday.

Thank you Rami. I didn't think about a colour picture but what a difference it makes.
I am delighted with it. Thank you. I wonder what dad would have made of it.
There was no colour of course in his day.
