I remember the spaghetti tree hoax, and as the only spaghetti many  people knew at that time was in tins, it fooled quite a lot of people.

Well a gloriously sunny if cool day today ,son came to take me out on the scooter—— what a palavar just getting it out of the shed!
It slammed into the back wall ,dies not seem to harvest damaged it though
Down the road - once round the cemetery - back home but my it was so keen ,a feather touch and it jumped forward , so son took over and it did the same going up a kerb and lost a tyre!!!
It managed on the L side and middle front ,the R had come off .
Back home I phone Quingo and explained what had happened but son discovered it was set on the fastest mode,he altered that and it was much more manageable .
However they are coming tomorrow afternoon .
That will be fun ,the Ivan man was supposed to come this afternoon ,I had  left a big note in the letterbox flap so it could be seen that we were only in the street and we  were watching for him ,no note to say he had called so not been yet .
Rat man comes tomorrow, lots of rustlings under the kitchen units behind the kick boards , I have seen no traces but the traps we set were not sprung so I called for someone to come.
I never leave food out on the worktops and don’t now feed the birds unless the food is in a vermin proof gadget .
So what an exciting afternoon !

I kept saying  the  scooter was very keen!

 >:( >:( >:(

Hope all are O.K.
It is hard to believe we are so far into the new year.
I have an echo scan booked in a week today ,a phone call yesterday .
I think it might be to do with expediting the pacemaker , I am not due to see the Consultant until July ,but the Heart Failure Nurse is trying very hard for me.
Best wishes to all waiting for urgent treatment .

Well Trump is going to cost our manufacturers dear with his import duties on foreign goods to the U.S.
Canada as a U,S state and Greenland ,Iceland !!!

We knew he was potty!

Well second son not back yet , so salmon for my tea ,bay leaf ,salt ,pepper, lemon juice ,a little butter,in foil face down for 20 minutes .
New potatoes ,well little one ,peas and sweet corn , then a Yoghourt .
Cheerio, Viktoria.

All the best with your endeavours brigidmac ..

You too Viktoria with your new mobility method, sounds a bit frightening with that enhanced speed of scooter and the tyre coming off on kerb, imagine if it was just you with it would be quite a predicament!

OCT appt at optician was quick and all good, lovely visit with the new twins and parents. babies 2 months old and prem so still tiny, baby 1 was a bit bigger and birth but baby 2 has reversed that now. Both girls have a good covering of dark hair though baby one is definitely winning there with her locks  :)

Didn't pick up on any April Fool jokes here yesterday ..

Well Quingo sent a technician this afternoon ,all fixed ,so we went a little way into the cemetery and did few manoeuvres , it is still keen in lowest setting and lurches forward but that is something I will get used to .
The chap advised the ramp my son made so well is rather too steep so as I suggested I in the first place it needs a longer much shallower one . I also think my little herb garden will have to go , the space it takes is not big but right in the way for the tight turn needed to put the scooter in its shed .

Rat man came this morning , put down six dishes of something or other - he will check on 16 th .£94 !
I need an industrial vac to clear all the builders’ rubble from under the units , how ever they left so much I can’t imagine !

Son not back yet ,probably tomorrow..

A lovely day if rather chilly ,but bathroom mats all washed, not the actual bath mats ,the pedestal ones etc  .
Will watch the documentary this evening about Ruth Ellis , saw the  dramatised version .

Hope those unwell  or with problems soon see improvements in their conditions and circumstances .

Daffodils out, tulips nearly opening ,a few muscari but not one snowdrop !

Well - Trump’s tariffs will put the squeeze on things , it will be very hard I fear.

Hope are all alright ,I know there are some painful ,challenging conditions being stoically borne .
I do think of  think of you all.

Thanks for your kind interest in my little problems ,nothing by comparison .
Well cheerio, and thanks for the news and good wishes .
Viktoria.

Practicing an electric scooter in the cemetery? What has the world come to?

the best April Fool was from Dublin, where they claim they are going to have wardens checking that nobody touches the shiny parts, of the statue of Molly Malone. You can probably guess where the shiny bits are. I thought that was the only one worth laughing at.
