Lewis Barton b1689 - My family tree.

I'm not sure if what I am asking is possible, I have been attempting to further my family tree and have managed to get as 1689 but now come to a dead stop at Lewis Barton born in 1689 and would love to go further back, I have tried "The Lancashire Online Parish clerk Project" without success, would anyone have any idea how I could gain information regarding Lewis Barton - this is as far as I have reached.:-

Lewis Barton Born 1689
1714 Lewis Barton married Margaret Ashhurst b1693 at Upholland, on May16th 1714 at St Thomas's Church Upholland, Wigan.
They had a set of twins Ellin born 31st Dec 1714 she died 24th Jan 1714 an a boy William he died 1st Jan 1714 both born at Upholland. (birth and death dates appear illogical as at that time the Julian calender was still in effect and the end of the year was not Dec 31st but March24th.) Lewis and Margaret had three more children in their marriage, Ellen born 22nd Jan1715 and also another set of twins, Jane and William born 3rd October 1718, all three children wer born at Upholland.

I saw that. Either the date, 1731, is incorrect, or there are two Lewis Bartons, or the Lewis Barton who died in 1721 had supernatural powers.

I have an ancestor whose will is dated 1803 and he died in 1807. So hopefully Lewis Burton's burial will be found.

Thank's to all of you that have taken the time to answer, what my aim is, is to establish who were Lewis Barton's parents!.

As sometimes certain forenames regularly appear in families I thought I would go down that path. Although it is still a mystery.  I have looked on Lancashire Parish Project, Find my past and Family Search.  I found the baptisms of his children but was unable to find his birth in 1689.  If you don't mind, where did you find it?  I found the marriage to Margaret Ashurst 16/05/1714 as mentioned and also her burial 01/11/1731 wife of Lewis Barton of ?Airfield (difficult to read image) in Upholland, occupation Farmer.   I found a marriage to Mary Park 23/06/1734 at St Wilfred Standish by licence.  I found the licence image 21/06/1734, both were resident in Upholland and Lewis a Farmer.  There is the burial of Lewis 07/04/1761 at St Thomas the Martyr Upholland, abode Upholland and occupation Farmer.

I also found a baptism for Margaret Barton 01/01/1735/36 father Lewis, Airfield in Upholland, occupation Farmer. There is also a burial 15/10/1761 St Thomas Upholland for Lewis Barton son of William Barton, abode Upholland occupation Farmer.
