There are details of the house in the 1910 Valuation Survey ("Lloyd George Domesday"), dating from 1910-1915 (unfortunately this valuation has no date). The owner was Thomas W Vitty, Eversleigh, Tankerton, Whitstable, who was the freeholder, and the occupant was Theodore Wright, who was paying an annual rent of £20. The surveyor valued the site at £700 and described it thus:

Quote
An old fashioned brick & tile house, flush. Two bays Gd. Flr. & dormer attic. 3 dormer attics at rear.
Contains hall, 2 reception rooms and lobby.
1st floor 3 bedrooms, bath W.C. landing large attic.
large billiard room at side. Detached brick & tile washhse.
timber lodge. Garden at rear.

Added: I have a candidate for Theodore Wright who died in Q3 1912, and an August 1913 newspaper item refers to “Messrs Chas. King of Waypost House corner of Joy Lane and Borstall Hill” so it seems that the King family moved in to the house around that time.
