I'm not sure. None of their children or grandchildren are religious, on my side at least. The cemetery they are buried in isn't a religious one, and was instead started by my older family and friends, as the main cemetery in the town nearby wouldn't let them be buried there, as they weren't catholic.
Because of this I'm not sure if Gottfried and Margretta wanted to be buried there, or if they weren't religious at all in Canada. If I would guess, I would say Catholic or Romanian Orthodox, as the town nearby is mainly that.
