His marriage will not name his father.

The image is online, they were both of the parish.  Witnesses were Richard Bowyer, Jane Jones and Valentine Matthews

Hi
Looks like we have 3 siblings ,all on the censuses by the Duke of Wellington pub and working on boats and waterman.
Richard 1806 married Elizabeth Jones 31.7.1835 Broseley wit Mary Billingsley and John Smith the clerk.
John 1811 yours also a waterman
Thomas 1813 s of John Waterman married Maria Bates  2.5.1839 Malinslee wit Hannah Taylor and Edward Blocksridge.

It's really frustrating I can't find a baptism for any of them.

Hi , I have a verified line back to Hannah Colley born 1775 to George Colley in Ecclesfield who married Stephen Rose in Sheffield (Hannah and Stephen were my Fathers 3xGreat Grandparents) Whats interesting is I have several DNA matches to Dad with Colleys in Shropshire including Thomas Colley, waterman . I'm trying to find out the link and if my George was born in Shropshire

Hi
Not spotting an obvious link.
The family at Wadsley ,Ecclesfield seem to be ;-
George Colley buried 19.8.1777 of Wadsley
He married Sarah Wells 21.6.1767 at Ecclessfield  Sarah d of William  bapt 9.2.1745 married 2nd John Bancroft 4.6.1781  .Child Ann Bancroft 29.7.1781 .Burial 1746-3.8.1817 of Wadsley

Children
William 22.11.1767 A cutler Buried 22.2.1849 .Married Elizabeth Barker 29.3.1789 at Ecclesfield
-George 23.8.1789-23.8.1790 ,Mary 5.4.1795 ,William 31.12.1797 ,Benjamin 1.3.1801,Nancy 23.10.1803 , Samuel 15.10.1809 ,John 20.4.1813,Rosanna 21.12.1817 (only did ones of Wadsley)

Mary 8.3.1772 children  William 67.1.-18.2.1793 and George 19.11.1795-7.11.1797 Married 29.12.1795 Robert Wood by licence.

Hannah 17.4.1775 - (not absolutely sure its the same Hannah having the chiildren)Anne 5.8.1792,Mary 15.1.1803 ,Sarah buried 18.1.1804 and Stephen 1.10.1809

Martha 2.2.1777 married 10.9.1796 Thomas Rhodes widower

You probably have all that and in a lot more detail than me.

Not seeing a Richard father of Thomas the waterman from Broseley.

If we assume that George was a cutler like his son William and go to the Cutler's apprentice records.
https://app.box.com/s/v8n1pp9g6z7kxb2652h4hc7jc0qvub36

George Colley son of William apprenticed to Robert Bradshaw of Crooks Freedom as a cutler ie finished apprenticeship 1774. Joseph Bradshaw (poss bapt 1737)  was one of the witnesses at the wedding so it would suggest  George's father was a William Colley.
So perhaps the George Colley bapt at Sheffield St Peter and Paul son of William Colley cutler 16.7.1742.

(William son of George  became a knife maker granted freedom 1791 perhaps)

Sorry not to find the Shropshire connection .
